A panel of industry experts will explore the marriage of corporate culture and communications and how this synergy impacts clients, partners and staff. Their presentation will address how values, mission, leadership, and brand shape a company’s culture and impact its positioning both externally and internally. Is culture something that happens naturally or can it be shaped with intention? How do you develop an inspirational culture where the walk doesn't quite match the talk? How can a marketing department influence culture? Our panelists will offer insight on these questions and more.

Charnelle Hicks
Principal Planner
CHPlanning Ltd.

Charnelle is the president and principal planner for CHPlanning, an MBE/WBE/DBE firm certified in eight states and specializing in planning projects involving transportation, infrastructure, land use and the environment. Recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the top Philadelphia Minority Business Leaders, Charnelle has 30+ years of experience in comprehensive and regional planning, economic development, and public outreach. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Swarthmore College, a Master of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and holds a NJ Professional Planners License.

Denise Bailey
Principal
Milligan & Company, LLC

Denise is principal in charge of the consulting division of Milligan & Company, LLC; a minority-owned firm of approximately 40, located in Philadelphia. Her division consists of three departments: Diversity and Inclusion, Transportation Consulting & Compliance, and Economic Development. She graduated from Drexel University  with a degree in Commerce and Engineering. She is a subject matter expert in a variety of areas in the aviation, transit, and highway transportation industries, including project management, procurement, joint-venture and contract/subcontract negotiation, grants administration, and civil rights (DBE, EEO, Title VI, and ADA).


Mike Izzo, Assoc. AIA
Director of Marketing

JKRP Architects

After almost ten years behind a desk designing buildings at JKRP, Mike has walked into his new role as director of marketing. He’s been in the trenches, and can talk the talk because he’s walked the walk. While practicing as an architect, Mike was instrumental in the design of SouthStar Lofts and 1220 North Broad Street. He also plays a part behind the scenes doing much of the early conceptual design for the firm’s larger projects. Now that he has shifted gears, he brings a phatness and phreshness to all of JKRP’s marketing efforts. He’s won design awards as a student, as an architect and as a marketer. If there is a grammatical error in our marketing material, he’s the person to blame.

Craig Meaney
Communications Manager
Array Architects

Craig Meaney is the communications manager and a senior associate at Array Architects. In his role at the multidisciplinary firm – which includes a healthcare consultancy, architecture firm and SaaS upstart – he develops content strategy, writes copy, manages PR and acts as an in-house journalist. Prior to joining Array, Craig held several marketing roles within the professional services industry, where he served as a brand copywriter, social media manager and corporate communications assistant.
