2019/2020 Philly’s Phinest Marketing Communication and Honoring Legend Awards

Each year SMPS Philadelphia recognizes members and member firms who have demonstrated their commitment and dedication to both the Philadelphia chapter and the A/E/C industry through their engagement, leadership, and resources. The 2019 event was held at the Philadelphia City Winery on January 30th. We congratulate all of our well-deserving award recipients for the 2019/2020 program year!!


Honoring Legends Award

A Legend is defined as “an important person who is known for doing something extremely well.” This award is presented to the remarkable individuals, the living legends, the icons who have been supportive of SMPS and, in particular, of his or her firm’s marketing department’s efforts.

Timothy Haahs, PE, AIA


Timothy Haahs, PE, AIA is President and founder of Timothy Haahs & Associates, Inc. (TimHaahs), an architecture and engineering firm specializing in the planning and design of parking and mixed-use structures. Tim also serves as the founding pastor of Calvary Vision Church (CVC) in Blue Bell, PA. CVC is an independent, non-denominational church with an ethnically diverse congregation of many cultures.

Tim had co-authored a report for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) “East Asia Low Carbon Green Growth Roadmap”. The roadmap explores the opportunities for implementing sustainable planning, design, and construction strategies and technologies, and the benefits that a low carbon green growth path would offer to the region of Southeast Asia.  Tim is a Presidential nominated and US Senate confirmed appointee to the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Building Sciences and currently serves on the advisory board for Networking with Korean American Leaders (NetKAL). He is also a Board Member for the Einstein Healthcare Network, and the Philip Jaisohn Foundation.

Tim received an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Missiology from Kosin University and holds a BS and MS in Civil/Urban Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a licensed engineer and registered architect. In 2016, he was awarded with the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and in 2011 and 2012 respectively, he was recognized by ASCE Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley Engineers as Engineer of the Year. In 2006 he was selected as Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year for the Real Estate and Construction category in the Philadelphia Region, as well as the ZweigWhite Jerry Allen Courage in Leadership Award in 2010. He is an author of a bestselling book, “P31, Bible Based Business.”

Rising Star Award

Sadie Maney, Acentech
The Rising Star Award is presented to a member who is new to the chapter and/or the industry, and who, through their achievements to date, has demonstrated great potential as a consummate A/E/C marketer.

Donna Keller / Cracked Bell Award

Chrissy Ferrazzano, CPSM - Schnabel Engineers
The Donna Keller / Cracked Bell Award is named for a former member who passed away in 1999. This award is presented to a senior professional in our industry whose career and service to SMPS and our own chapter are highly regarded and of value to others. In order to be considered for this prestigious award, candidates must have demonstrable, numerous accomplishments in their profession.
