Rutgers 2030: A Visionary Physical Master Plan – May 4, 2016
9:30 – 10:00 AM breakfast/networking
10:00 – 11:45 AM presentation
Join us for a conversation focused on the Rutgers 2030 physical master plan, jointly hosted by SMPS-NY New Jersey Affiliate and SMPS Philadelphia.
The first comprehensive physical master plan for Rutgers University in over a decade, and the first to incorporate Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, was approved by the Board of Governors in June 2015. Known as “Rutgers 2030,” the plan envisions development at the state institution over a 15-year timeframe and accounts for buildings, open space, transportation, and infrastructure.
Please join Antonio Calcado, Senior Vice President for Institutional Planning and Operations at Rutgers University, and Christopher Paladino, President of the New Brunswick Development Corporation, as they share updates on the latest projects both underway and in the pipeline for planning, architecture, engineering, and construction services on the Newark, New Brunswick/Piscataway, and Camden campuses. Conversation will be moderated by Deborah Alaimo Lawlor, FAICP, PP, Discipline Leader/Planning Services, Maser Consulting.
From bridges and transit hubs to new buildings and facility improvements, the implementation of Rutgers 2030 represents a significant portfolio of work for the design and construction community.
