Whether managing teams remotely or collaborating across multiple offices, the struggle to stay organized and effectively communicate with team members is real! Luckily, tools like Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Teams can ease the process by minimizing email clutter and task duplication. This roundtable discussion will outline how technical staff can use these programs to manage project work and how a marketing team can manage proposals and other marketing initiatives. The Lighting Practice’s Caitlin Bucari, Project Manager, and Darcy Veneziale, Marketing Manager, share how they stay organized using these integrated programs as well as a few others provided through Microsoft Office.
- Attendees will learn what a Kanban board is and how it can help them manage their teams by increasing communication and minimizing task duplication
- Attendees will learn how to utilize Planner to manage project and/or marketing tasks
- Attendees will learn how to organize Teams to minimize email clutter, increase communication, and utilize video chat functions
- Attendees will better understand how these platforms integrate with other Microsoft Office programs

Caitlin Bucari is a Project Manager with The Lighting Practice. She has over 10 years of experience in lighting design. With a background in interior design, Caitlin was drawn to lighting because of the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects across the design and construction industry. Her project work includes corporate, mixed-use, retail, multi-family residential and hospitality environments.
Darcy Veneziale, CPSM
Marketing Manager, The Lighting Practice
Darcy Veneziale, CPSM is the Marketing Manager with The Lighting Practice. Since 2012 she has worked closely with her team to maintain TLP’s brand, coordinate marketing initiatives, and manage the firm’s proposal process. Darcy works closely with leadership, supporting business development efforts for both the New York and Philadelphia offices.
