The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) plays an important role as stewards of public transportation assets. DRPA’s Chief Engineer, Michael Venuto, PE, PLS will provide valuable information during this presentation from the owner’s perspective regarding building project team relationships while leading teams toward a common goal. He will also discuss delivering quality projects, effective communication to manage expectations and project schedules, and maintaining positive client-owner relationships for future growth.
As Chief Engineer of DRPA, Mr. Venuto oversees the approximately $1 billion, 5-year capital program ensuring that DRPA/PATCO’s assets are kept safe, secure and serviceable for the traveling public. These assets include the Betsy Ross Bridge, Benjamin Franklin Bridge, Walt Whitman Bridge, Commodore Barry Bridge, and PATCO.
During his ongoing tenure at the DRPA, he has initiated an Asset Management Plan for the Authority’s major assets to enhance the Capital Planning process and was also the Design Manager for the $140 million Walt Whitman Redecking Project.
