Cancellation Policy — Cancellations made by 12:00 a.m. three business days prior to the event will be fully refunded. Due to SMPS Philadelphia’s commitment with meeting facilities for food and beverage quantities, all cancellations after that time and no-shows will be ineligible for a refund.
Dorothy J. Verdon, CPSM

Dorothy has been involved since 1978 as an A/E/C industry marketer. An SMPS member since 1986, she has belonged to five different chapters, was on the boards of four, is president-elect and programs chair of the Philadelphia Chapter, and is a former president of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
A speaker at two SMPS national conferences, Dorothy also chaired the national Public Relations committee and was a juror on the Marketing Communication Awards committee. An AIA Affiliate member, she is on the Design on the Delaware program planning committee and also belongs to SCUP, DVAPPA and ERAPPA, currently serving on the latter’s 2012 conference communications committee.
Dorothy, who has a BFA from Moore College of Art, has worked for Philadelphia and Alexandria, Va., design firms as well as having once had a successful marketing consulting practice in California. As a consultant she provided writing, editing, research and training/coaching services.
She is now director of marketing and business development for Bruce E. Brooks & Associates, a Center City firm specializing in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering design, with a subsidiary that provides commissioning services.
