The program is modeled after SMPS Headquarters’ long-standing and prestigious Marketing Communication Awards Program.

In celebrating how marketing matters, we will hear from Ms. Kelli Roberts, the Manager of Marketing and Business Development at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, on the Turnpike’s Go Orange Campaign. The campaign focuses on improving drivers’ attention to safety, and Ms. Roberts will discuss how the program was developed and the success the Turnpike has seen.
Additionally, the annual Honoring Legends Award recipient will be announced.
This honor is presented to a remarkable individual, the living legend, the icon in the Philadelphia A/E/C community – someone, who has been supportive of SMPS and, in particular, of his or her firm’s marketing department’s efforts. This year’s prestigious nominees are:
- William Lammey, AIA and Anthony Giorgio, AIA; Lammey + Giorgio, Architects
- J. Rossi; retired
- Michael Erickson; C. Erickson & Sons, Inc.
Come support your friends and colleagues as we celebrate their accomplishments!
About the guest speaker:
Ms. Kelli Roberts has 15 years of communications experience focused in politics and government policy. Currently serving as the Manager of Marketing and Business Development at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Roberts is responsible for the planning, execution and management of all marketing initiatives including roadway project campaigns, the E-ZPass program and Work Zone Safety.

After losing two employees in two years to accidents in their work zones, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is leading the charge to bring awareness to this deadly issue. With the goal of saving the lives of workers on the roadway as well as motorists who drive through work zones, the Commission is deploying innovative marketing, internal communications and driver engagement tactics to decrease work zone crash rates across the system. Learn how the Go Orange PA campaign has grown and evolved to be a change agent that saves lives and empowers employees.
